trend: models with gap teeth

We've always loved models who were beautifully unique. It's what makes a truly amazing high fashion model, and the reason that they can book shows. If they have a trademark feature, it's only logical that someone would stop to look at an ad that they're in. We find beauty in things that are unique, whether it's Lindsay Wixson's dimples, Rosie Huntington-Whitley's lips or Sasha Pivarova's cheeks. These beautiful imperfections are what add character and charm to the model in a simple Polaroid. Lately the trend has been gap teeth.

Generally, one would think that models should have perfectly straight and whitened teeth. Then Lara Stone came along. Granted, her gap tooth is not the only thing that makes Lara a unique beauty, but it is certainly one of the first things one can use to describe the beauty. Although there have been women before her with the trendy teeth (Madonna, Bridgette Bardot), after Lara became the star that she is, a slew of new gap-toothed models came into the business. Recently, Georgia May Jagger and Lindsay Wixson have been the most notable for their teeth, although there's certainly more to their look than that.

Lindsay Wixson and Georgia May Jagger, two newer models were also gifted with the gap teeth. Would their career be as good without them?

So is it still considered a unique quality to have a gap tooth, or a new trend? Does it lessen the appeal of any of these models if they play up that feature too much?
